So many cool things go on in San Miguel every day. Who would have thought that right in the Centro in front of the Paroqia across from the Jardin would be a motorcycle race!! Now that was cool!
The day the race ended, Scott, Bentley and I rode our Moto’s and parked in front of the Paroqia. We didn’t even get the bikes turned off and it was like a swarm of bees, only it was people wanting to see the beautiful dog on the moto! They wanted to touch him, get their photo taken with him, sit on the bike and get their picture taken with him….it was so much fun. Even the racers couldn’t resist the Perro!
We met a lot of great guys. Many from Mexico City and many spoke very good English and many who have done world travel. We were able to get lots of great tips on traveling down South! It will give us something to think about when we get back to the States and prepare to go again!
We had a great day with our friends. Adrianna and Hugo took us to a beautiful place called Tierra Blanca, Guanajuato. This place is a jump off point for Paragliders and Hang gliding. At the top of this mountain we had lunch at El Salto. The seafood was fabulous!!! After spending about three hours there, we drove to a town called Pozo. Mineral de Pozos, once known throughout colonial Mexico for its opulence and its thriving mining industry, has been a virtual ghost town for almost a century. We were able to go down into one of the mines. it had a string of lights going into the tunnel and a rope to hold onto. I, of course, had on Flip-flops! Those photos to follow…….
